At ARPA Investments (ARPA), we have always said, “it’s not just about a building, but about building communities.” Throughout 2022, we have not just helped build communities but communities have helped us thrive and we are so grateful for the support.
2022 – A Look Back
We started the year by welcoming new residents to the Colours on Spirit Square. We also unveiled plans for Thompson Landing on Royal to activate the potential of riverfront properties along the Tranquille corridor of Kamloops’ North Shore.
Another addition to our portfolio of projects was the Yew Street Food Hall. We officially opened the doors to this unique and vibrant food hall concept in September. The food hall has brought the community together and we’ve been able to celebrate many vendors who have chosen to make this space home for their diverse restaurants.
This year, we also received many awards and acknowledgements, helping us shine a light on the excellent work of our teams and partners.
Keystone Awards: ARPA got gold for Best Multi-Family Low Rise (Condo) category and we were a finalist in Best Public Private Partnership and Best Marketing Project Website.
Georgie Awards: we were a Silver Finalist in the 2022 Georgie Awards in the Best Public-Private Partnership for The Colours on Spirit Square Stollery Suites project.
Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards: Joshua Knaak, one of the partners of ARPA was celebrated as Business Person of the Year and we were a Finalist for the Employer of the Year and Community Service.
ARPA was also nominated for the 2022 Thompson-Okanagan Commercial Building Awards in the Community Institutional category for the Children’s Circle Daycare Centre development project.
The recognition and awards have been a testament to the work of our team. None of this is possible without the support of our collaborative community members such as the Children’s Circle Daycare Society, ASK Wellness, Bright Eye Brewing, and Steve & Jeff Mitton.
2023 – A Look Ahead
Thompson Landing on Royal is moving along quickly. Suites are listed on MLS® and we sold ___ units during our pre-sale window. Interested buyers can visit the Thompson Landing on Royal Show Suite at Brendan Shaw Real Estate’s North Shore office at 101 Oak Road to see the condo details like kitchen appliances and conceptual layout.
We also have another development in the works to serve the growing housing needs of Kamloops – The Innova on Tranquille, a new 60-unit mixed-use building at the intersection of Clapperton and Tranquille roads. We anticipate starting work on this new project in the latter part of the year.
