ARPA Investments a Nominee for the 2022 Thompson-Okanagan Commercial Building Awards

KAMLOOPS, B.C. –The team at ARPA Investments (ARPA) is thrilled to be a nominee for the 2022 Thompson-Okanagan Commercial Building Awards in the Community Institutional category for the Children’s Circle Daycare Centre development project.

The Thompson-Okanagan Building Construction Awards, presented by Freedom Capital, celebrate prime commercial real estate projects and developers from organizations of all sizes and specializations across the region.

ARPA joins the list of nominees for their development project in partnership with the Children's Circle Daycare Society. The newly built Children’s Circle Daycare Centre opened its doors in January of this year, offering quality, licensed programs to over 141 early learners in the Downtown area.

The Children's Circle Daycare Society is a community-based, not-for-profit organization led by a volunteer Board of Directors; dedicated to providing a safe and healthy learning atmosphere to children six months-to five years old.

As a not-for-profit, the Society needed a creative plan for a project of this magnitude and ARPA's ability to think outside the box made this process feasible. The team's expertise helped the Society avoid any substantial unforeseen difficulties; and effectively managed the challenges that did arise, such as increase in material costs during construction.

The Children’s Circle Daycare Centre addresses the childcare deficit in Kamloops by adding spaces for 100+ children, which supports community needs and current provincial government priorities. The needs of children and educators informed the facility’s design.

Partners Joshua Knaak, Parm Mahal, and Jas Mahal have an unwavering commitment to helping build resilient neighbourhoods where the community’s needs are the utmost priority.

"Through our engagement efforts, we ensured our project was the right fit to help add vibrancy, security, and a sense of community, and this nomination reinforces to our team and partners that together we are helping bring innovation to our neighbourhoods,” noted Knaak.

ARPA would like to wish all of the nominees every bit of success. The winners of each category will be announced on September 15th at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna.
