Kamloops’ North Shore has been undergoing a transformation, and ARPA Investments (ARPA) is part of this exciting revitalization. With its newest project, The Innova on Tranquille, and the development of the Innova Business and Innovation Centre, the North Shore is set to welcome new businesses and residents into a vibrant and thriving community along the Tranquille Market Corridor.
When built, the Innova on Tranquille, located at the intersection of Clapperton and Tranquille roads, will be a 60-unit mixed-used development comprised of two floors of commercial space and four floors of residential suites. This development will seamlessly blend innovation and style to create a unique living experience for residents.
“When complete, The Innova will provide housing options ranging from studio suites to two-bedroom units,” shared Joshua Knaak, partner with ARPA, adding that the development will be similar to previous projects such as The Station on Tranquille and The Colours on Spirit Square.
The inclusion of a four-level parkade structure for both commercial and residential spaces will enhance convenience, making it even more accessible to residents. The walkability of the area, combined with its proximity to grocery stores, public transit, and essential services, will also add to the appeal of the future development.
In addition to the residential units and commercial spaces, the project will also be home to The Innova Business and Innovation Centre.
After Thompson Rivers University (TRU) announced in Fall 2023 that Kamloops Innovation would be moving to the TRU campus, the team at ARPA took the opportunity to reimagine the Business and Innovation Centre.
“We had a great relationship with Kamloops Innovation for years and wish them all the best at TRU. We’ve been so pleased that many of the businesses leasing space at our 348 Tranquille Road location are staying with us, continuing to foster a culture of sharing, collaboration, and innovation which makes this space so special,” said Knaak.
The Innova Business and Innovation Centre will continue to work with companies already on-site as well as others that might be interested in moving in. The plan is to have those currently in the two-storey building move to new spaces in the new Innova Business and Innovation building next door upon completion.
The construction timeline for the development is estimated at approximately two years, with building permits expected to be granted in the coming months. For those interested in renting office space, Knaak encourages people to connect with him directly.
