The Thompson Okanagan Commercial Building Awards recognize and celebrate outstanding commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-family real estate projects across the entire Thompson Okanagan region. This year’s event marked the 12th anniversary of the event, with the awards gala held at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna on September 28.
For this year's Affordable Housing and Multi-Family Townhouse categories, ARPA Investments (ARPA) was a finalist for their Safe Social Housing for Women development, a collaborative project between ARPA and BC Housing that welcomes vulnerable women, providing a safe, comfortable, and high-quality building suitable for young families.
“Our mission has always been about building community,” noted Joshua Knaak, partner with ARPA.
“We are proud of all of our projects, and this one is no exception because it helps to build community by providing a safe space for women, and often their children, who are fleeing violence. To be a finalist for this award for this project is very meaningful for our team, and we want to thank our project partners BC Housing, and the Elizabeth Fry Society for the opportunity to create this project together.”
ARPA remains dedicated to its ongoing mission of enriching communities through the creation of innovative, creative, and beautiful spaces tailored to meet the unique needs of the community and revitalizing neighborhoods in the process.
Partners Joshua Knaak, Parm Mahal, and Jas Mahal are honoured to once again be recognized as leaders in the construction and development industry and would like to acknowledge the many community partners and the ARPA team and subtrades for their dedication and outstanding work on this collaborative effort.
