Building Communities: Bright Eye Brewing's Expansion

Since its opening in 2019, Bright Eye Brewing has become a local favourite, serving unique craft beers and a creative menu made with local ingredients. Located on Kamloops’ North Shore, on the ground floor of The Station on Tranquille commercial and residential building, the brewery offers a lively yet relaxed atmosphere focusing on quality, community, and fun.

In 2022, as the brewery grew in popularity, the team doubled its commercial space, increasing its ability to accommodate guests and its brewing capacity.

“Since the expansion, we have added approximately 100 seats, and we are finally able to host events without turning away our regular guests,” said Richard Marken, Partner at Bright Eye Brewing. “We were also able to add additional kitchen and storage facilities, which have allowed us to expand our food and drink programs. Originally, we served six of our own taps and two guest taps*. Now, we can serve 14 of our own taps and we have three reserved for guest taps and cider.”

Additionally, as part of the expansion, Bright Eye Brewing partnered with The Fun Factor Fun Centre in Kamloops to add an arcade for kids and adults alike to enjoy.

“We now have trivia nights, themed bingo events and live music regularly, which has been a huge addition to our business,” added Marken.

Marken also emphasized how the partnership between ARPA Investments (ARPA) and Bright Eye Brewing has evolved and remained essential throughout the years of growth and development.

“ARPA has been a key to our success. Whether it was their support during COVID or when we require support through infrastructure updates or our expansion, they have always been there when we needed them.”

Sharing ARPA’s mission, the team at Bright Eye Brewing is committed to building a stronger community on the North Shore.

“We are very committed to the North Shore and its ongoing development,” said Marken. “Whether it's through sponsorship and events, or by actively participating on the board of directors for organizations such as the North Shore Business Improvement Association, Kamloops Art Gallery, and Brewloops, as a local business we support a variety of community and non-profit organizations.”

Bright Eye Brewing’s expansion and success over the years has created a hub where residents and visitors to the city can come together to enjoy great beer, food, and entertainment, while fostering a strong sense of belonging on Kamloops’ vibrant North Shore.
